Undergraduate Scholarships
for SJMC Majors
In the current academic year, the SJMC awarded more than 100 scholarships worth more than $250,000 to undergraduate majors and premajors in the SJMC. These scholarships are awarded based upon academic performance and potential for a career in mass communication and, in some instances, financial need.

There are also specific scholarships available for first-year students who plan on pursuing a major in the SJMC. Learn more about scholarships available to first-year students.
Any SJMC major who is enrolled full-time may apply for an SJMC scholarship. Awards are for the following academic year (or portion of the year) and range from $500 to $7,500. The online application for 2008-09 scholarships will be available in early January 2008.
Students do not apply for specific scholarships. All applicants are considered for every scholarship for which they qualify. Because some scholarships are restricted (e.g., to a particular field of mass communication interest), the School encourages all qualified students to apply so that all scholarships available can be awarded.
