SJMC Scholarship Opportunities

In the current academic year, the SJMC awarded more than 100 scholarships worth more than $250,000 to undergraduate majors and pre-majors in the SJMC. These scholarships are awarded based upon academic performance and potential for a career in mass communication and, in some instances, financial need.

How do I qualify?

Any SJMC major who is enrolled full-time may apply for an SJMC scholarship. Awards are for the following academic year (or portion of the year) and range from $500 to $7,500. There are also specific scholarships available for first-year students who plan on pursuing a major in the SJMC.

How do I apply for an SJMC scholarship?

Complete the online application form. (The application for the 2010-11 academic year will be available in January 2010.)
You will automatically be considered for every scholarship for which you qualify.
Upon submission of a scholarship application, you will receive a confirmation and tracking number for your completed application.
Note: Because some scholarships are restricted (e.g., to a particular field of mass communication interest), the School encourages all qualified students to apply so that all scholarships available can be awarded.
