In the current academic year, the SJMC awarded more than 100 scholarships worth more than $250,000 to undergraduate majors and pre-majors in the SJMC. These scholarships are awarded based upon academic performance and potential for a career in mass communication and, in some instances, financial need.
Any SJMC major who is enrolled full-time may apply for an SJMC scholarship. Awards are for the following academic year (or portion of the year) and range from $500 to $7,500. There are also specific scholarships available for first-year students who plan on pursuing a major in the SJMC.
