Several magazines and publishing houses in the Twin Cities are offering special directed-study internships for Spring 2010 only to SJMC professional journalism students. The internships involve 14 to 16 hours of work per week through the 1-credit JOUR 3996 option.

Editors have designed these opportunities to train the next generation of magazine writers and editors. Web experience welcome.

Participating magazines include Minnesota Monthly, Midwest Home, Greenspring custom magazines, Metro, Minnesota Bride, Tiger Oak suburban publications and other trade and consumer titles.
