M.A. in Health Journalism
Medical and public health issues have become among the most important and complex of our time. If you’re a journalist, you probably already know how difficult it can be to report on health and health policy, but you also know how critical it is for meeting the public’s needs. If you’re a health professional, you too recognize that providing accurate and clear communication about health to the communities you serve, to policymakers and to the public at large are central to your work.
The SJMC and the University of Minnesota School of Public Health (SPH) have joined together to offer a unique curriculum that not only balances study across the disciplines of journalism and public health, but also incorporates the recent changes in communication technologies that are having a major impact in this area.
